This summer, my wife Jeanne and I, have decided to experiment with growing potatoes in a 5 gallon buckets, the kind you can purchase from Home Depot or Lowes. We were inspired by the multitude of YouTube vidoes, however as you can see in the bellow video, our results are not promising at all. I doubt very much we will be planting potatoes this way next year. We will just stick to our tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, egg plants etc.

Thank You! Great hearing from you and say hello to Jean from Hank and Theo. The video was intersting but tooooo messy for me. I’d rather purchase local produce….Living here in Georgia it’s rather difficult to have a garden due too the extreme heat and all God’s creatures. Take care and God Bles!

Theodora, this was just a silly experiment. We did plant quiet a garden this year. Our tomatoes were great. Along the way we also tried some new things, like growing potatoes in 5 gallon buckets…. We just made another video (one of many) on growing mushrooms indoors. It will be published on this blog later today.
